I see many of my coworkers saying they plan to continue WFH despite the mandate. I'm jealous, honestly. But as the only income for my family, I can't take that chance. If they get fired, do they have a safety net? What's the thinking there? Genuinely curious.

@OP they are just replacing people with contractors. if your work can be done remotely the job can be given away. it's been happening for a long time now
I just plan to leave. I have had a couple of interviews elsewhere and I have a third interview coming up soon. As soon as I have a place to land, I'm jumping ship.
Don’t be foolish. They have a huge law department and they know what they are doing. My sister lost a damn good Givt job for not complying. One warning and terminated for insubordination.
You're going to have to be your own Man/Woman and look yourself in the face in the morning in that mirror. You're going to answer your own questions.
Production will obviously take a huge hit 5 days a week. If they did 2-3 days opposed to 5 that would be more enticing.

I doubt they are going to fire anyone right off. Take a few verbal and written warnings, stall with excuses and set target dates with no intention of meeting them. Begrudgingly comply for a bit when the heat gets too high and backslide as soon as attention is directed elsewhere.
