@fy JE=Job Elimination, aka staff reduction.
What does JE stand for?
I would assume someone high up just has a spreadsheet with each person's total compensation package. (Base pay + Bonus + Insurance) and they just cut until they hit the number they have been given. Why your probably seeing high performers getting kicked as they probably earned a higher pay.
9 box, not performance but attitude based. Yes men and women that dont ask any questions criteria for top spots.

DC and BE have one of those big ol’ timey bingo cages with the big crank.
After a fat cat lunch delivered from the cafeteria because they are too important to eat in person, they pull bingo ba--s and match them to LAN Id’s.

@at On my team, the one who was serving a vital role and starting even bigger projects got laid off. We are really lost now on next steps.
From what I've heard, a lot of it is salary-based so if you are above midpoint you are more likely to be JE unless you serve a vital role. I've also heard that B3/B4 will be affected but who knows.
Pets will be saved.
On my team, the good ones are gone but the slackers are still here.
