Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

How much more pressure can they possibly put on us?

It gets harder every day. They’re milking our fear of losing our jobs for all it's worth. Since the last round of layoffs, the workload has far surpassed what’s left of our capacity. I watch people work themselves into the ground every day, even after we all just witnessed that none of it matters when your number is up.

I am not sure you can hire NW for H1B. My experience with NTW is la zy. worth—- less and they don’t do much since they know their time is up by 1-1/2 years.

@wk Not every NTW is an H-1B(anagalore) visa holder.

@ab NTW costing the company millions with the new visa fees being charged. That is $100K on top of the costs per NTW so they aren't even doing the right thing by shareholders and instead just playing hide the ball as they offer up more headcount than targets so they look good and keep their own job.

Su-k it up moneybags. Those that are there, still pulling down coinage, hiding behind kissing their bosses &olissin& kn*bs will have to actually do some work. The directors and senior directors in consumer group were so over staffed that literally they had nothing to do. Anything that is not postpaid should be long gone. The company keeps dumping margin to the infections of peepaid and noncore business.

LOL. Seems like all NTW responding on this. Get off. Stop trying to justify NTW. No FTE want you guys. This site is for FTE.

@gf felt. I should’ve stayed a NTW honestly… higher hourly pay sans bonus structures and stock, none of the koolaid, etc. sure having to pay OOP for benefits su-ks but oddly I had a better life

As an NTW who is marking my 6th anniversary, it's delightful to perform my work, at a high-quality level, partner with my internal customers, teammates, and direct T-Mo Manager while not attending CEO-All Hands Meetings and sipping the Magenta Kool-Aid.

@cy not true re: NTW. I encounter a lot of NTW who work hard and don’t really have a massive interest in becoming FTEs thus little brown-nosing.

I’ve quiet quit for a few years now. I was just doing the bare minimum. I was about 50-50 with getting a package and making my way out this company. It’s changed so much since I started from the old legacy TMO days.

But my new workaholic boss is pressuring all of us even more after the layoffs. All the overachievers are welcome to take workload and credit. I really don’t care. I’m going to keep banking as much as I can, and making my exit strategy to have something lined up before I leave.

I agree with +ab, why keep NTW and FTE has to get laid off. Get NTW out so we can save retain some FTE. NTW are useless, don’t have much responsibility, brow n nose r and highly paid and WFH. Useless. That is not right. Get NTW out asap.

they are trying to squeeze out every last drop of blood from us... Either perform with results or get let go / be fired. Those remaining will be slaves to a toxic leadership. No appreciation or consideration for our health, which will inevitably decline from stress, burnout, and being used by this God forsaken company

hey folks, who cares about pressure. nothing an fte or ntw can do about getting customers for the company. Especially in IT the whole org is useless to get customers. So, f the ind ian. Just do it....like the nike moto. Forget about anybody in IT friends. the US born gonna take care of stuff.

@OP feeling this so much. It’s exactly designed to make us work harder and try to do so without complaining and then you have the extreme overachievers who are being extra horrible during this time and sending teams messages at one in the morning confirming that people got an email just hours before. Toxic as fu-k.

Contractors can be capex. Also it’s more expensive to pay benefits and your bonus.

Why is NTW contractor still there with high pay and less or no work, all remote but FTE was more work load and 3x to office. NTW needs to go to save OPEX. I don’t understand why this is not been looked upon.
