Who from Uniti could tell us what the severance plan was? The Win one was awful.

@ab Funny you say that because I don't recall Uniti ever being in the brink of bankruptcy unlike Win's, what, 3 times? Not to mention that the "small fry" company purchased the company 10x its size.
Ridiculous statement. When I was still there as an NT, we'd all get 4-8 tasks per day. We were a busy market though. Didn't matter because they still kept laying people off.
@10n too bad it wasnt 2 weeks for every job completed. you would probably have 3 days
in my case being union it was 2 weeks for every year served
@f9 yeah should have clarified. It was a buyout package.
@am too funny, the reality is that they most likely want to put lipstick on this pig and cash in on a sale to an unsuspecting buyer that will want to operate on a shoestring to squeeze that last little bit of toothpaste out of the tube…telecom today!
75k sounds more like he accepted a buyout vs getting laid off and getting severance.
@an so did the severance package go back to what it used to be. So many weeks depending on how long you been there. Like 2 weeks for every year you been there up to 12 weeks or something plus your remaining vacation. And is it for all non bargaining employees? Thanks
@an were you laid off after the merger? That is a nice severance.
My severance was 75k plus they paid any unused vacation. Non bargaining. Took it and ran.
@ab They'll never compare to our wonderful WIN leadership who led us straight into wealth and profitability.
My VP told me that there are no 'hard rules' with Uniti HR for stuff like compensation and severance. Basically he has to ask and then they either say yes or no. There is no policy that governs any of it.
Uniti is a small-fry company that is going to get its leadership ate up trying to be a real business.
Win was not bad at first - 2 weeks for every year of employment up to 13 years. But then the Execs got greedy and determined the rank and file were mere pawns. If there is a god they will have some explaining to do
@a5 and the employee handbook does not say what it is either. Which I would have thought they would have detailed it out in there.
I have the same question. HR said in town hall meeting that their severance is better than win's glorified unemployment check, but she didn't say what it actually is.
