Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Will Monday Jan 26 be exempted from in office reporting?

Most ppl impacted by snow received an email on Monday Jan 26 that in office policy will be relaxed this week..... Only to receive another email that in office policy is back in full effect starting Today Tuesday Jan 27.

So will Monday Jan 26 be exempted from in office reporting? Will we only have to go into office 2 days this week instead of 3?

What i hear is silence. No clarity. This all means work 3 days in office to be safe and forget about it. It is easier to just do it.

I have a master's in Comp Fin and still can't make sense of this week's relaxed office policy message.

The failed executives in HY decided attrition is more important than work. I'm just following their lead.

I can't tell if you are serious or not. I'm sorry.

I'm from MN and this is laughable. You think the 'firm' cares about some snow?!

We're literally getting ki-led by the federal government up here and the 'firm' is all like, "but get to the office you pheasants. Collaboration is key, and a min of 8 hours, and if you aren't here 3 days + a week, even with ICE following you, harassing your neighbors, friends and family, you get your a-s here, we don't care. "

So I'm sorry you got some snow. There are more important things happening right now.

If yall got the below message for SNOW?! I'm floored. We (in MN) haven't got sh-t for ICE. I have yet to see the compassion that y'all received for some snow in the email below.

"Mangers are supposed to be managing with compassion according to the guidance given. This was a special situation that requires a special approach. Safety should come before a policy that requires you to be in office when you can get the same work done at home safely. Look at it this way, if you went to the office tomorrow and got in a wreck on the way there would WF help you? No they won’t so the right thing to do by the employee and the company is to let you work from home until conditions get better which should be on Friday. A good manager who cares about his people would take that approach."

Also, send help. MN is tired.

Correct. That is what my manager said. They have some discretion because weather situation vary location to location though.

Your manger has the ability to tell you that the days you were directed to work from home count as in office days meaning you only need to go in office once. The roads are still dangerous in most places so you should really only go to the office once Friday. All they have to do is annotate a checkpoint in workday to cover all bases. It’s bizarre how invested they are in this whole RTO thing. People hate it, that won’t change. If only they paid that much attention to things like process improvement and quality.

Based on the way the email and text were worded, I don't think we will face any adverse consequences by not having 3 days in office this week. In my area Tuesday was also a relaxed day. We should not have to make up any time this week. If I get called out for it, I am going to show them the email. I saved it just in case.

Brought this up to my manager and he said 2 days is fine this week. Who knows though? Wouldn’t surprise me if they flag it. A--holes.
