Hi - someone earlier in the week posted a thread asking for ages, and wonder if we can do the same for tenure. Trying to gauge if they’re laying off people who have been with the company a minimum of say, 3 years, or if it’s random and even people who have been around 1 year or less are being let go too…

If you are a long tenure TMO legacy employee hitting almost salary ceiling for your grade or has not been promoted for a long while, you are almost likely to get hit this round. I know at least 6 colleagues with over 20 years who got layoff in this round. Most likely selected by HR rather than your immediate supervisor.
27 years tenure. Legacy TMO.
For our site, it was every single one of our closing coaches that were let go. Some with tenure as high as 17 years, some as low as a year.
I just hit 15 years in Dec. 2025. Laid off January 2026!
How much is the budget? How many people's salaries can we afford? The more one makes, the easier you are to cut.
All I can say is that many of the coaches that were lay off in my org, there were some with long tenures and one with about a year, and at least for us, it was very evident that the ones who stayed were the good performing ones, even though I keep reading that it has nothing to do with performance, for us it was clear as water.
I was laid off after 4 years in August 2025
20+ years
I'm maxed out but sadly they didnt let me go. I wouldnt complain about retirement happening a year early.
28 years and 42 years.
Somebody who was here for 8 months was cut
21 years. Several in my group were 15 to 20 plus.
Our manager in Knoxville was let go but we were told they are back filling the position. Not sure if they are getting a new hire or moving a manager from another market. Strange, it shows a manager was needed. I suspect they are hiring a new manager at a discounted rate.
In the past I seen people laid off while they were on medical leave. It seems like they do whatever they want.
You have a sr director and director making decisions on who stays and who goes not even knowing the people. And you wonder why certain people were cut. They don’t know their people, plain and simple.
people who were 20+ years and maxed out at their pay grade were selected
they did throw in a few 5, 10, 15 year tenured to average it out
Cost is a big part of every layoff. If you are at the top of your pay scale, you are a prime candidate to be laid off.
various. 6, 23, 25, 30
20 years
