It’s clear that the amount of greed here is at the top of the list. This company will fold within a few years.

@ca Quick reality check for anyone thinking Sievert could personally hand out $10k raises to all of us.
T‑Mobile had ~70,000 employees at the end of 2024. $10k each = $700M. If Sievert made ~$39M/year, that means he’d have to work for himself 18 years without taking a dime just to cover one year of raises.
FYI, this is basic arithmetic, not commone core math, and not corporate magic or free money. ;-)
The total lack of empathy is what ki-ls me. I get it. This is just business, don’t take it personal. All corporations operate alike and their workers are just numbers.
But when you spend 10+ years working side by side with colleagues then that becomes a bond. I wouldnt necessarily call them good friends but at some level it’s definitely disheartening to know they aren’t there anymore and are now going through a traumatic life event.
My manager didn’t even really acknowledge the 3 people we lost on our team and it’s a shame. I can understand no empathy from Directors and above, but the senior manager is someone we report to and interact daily with. They all just brush it away like no big deal. And it’s just BAU, knowing we can easily be the next ones on the chopping block.
I don’t wish that sudden life change on anyone, it’s definitely stressful and nerve-wracking.
But I’m ready to move on if it comes down to it and was sort of hoping for that package to come my way. I’ve been preparing since the last major one, and always using the company to my advantage. I’m not gonna work harder, he-l no. Ive already “silently quit” since 2022.
if it is running into the ground....then you got to barry the in dians first. if it can't be saved....put them 6 feet under. High five to all the us born cuties.
Greed ? Well I'd say there are a few different perspectives on that, some point upwards some pointed laterally, and even other pointing below themselves. People dont like change to begin with, but its a constant for the economy in the way it impacts the customer base so the company has to change as well if it wants to survive. We lost a lot of talent due to restructuring, but the company decided that it can do without what they were doing going forward.
@a1 getting laid off sure would. Too many people in their own delusional self centered bubble until someone above them pops it. Most have zero empathy for others.
@OP Exactly! Sievert was making $39M and underpaying almost all of us! We all could have gotten a $10k raise and it sill wouldn't have affected his pockets! And, we would have been happier and produced more work! Ahh, who am I kidding, I still gave them everything I had. My work and "personal brand" are important to me.
Mike Sievert: Worst CEO ever.
Srini: “Hold my beer.”
It won’t make it past this.
I walk around the halls of this company and I see some of the most delusional people I have ever seen in my life. There is quite literally nothing that would wake these people up.
