Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

When I first came here as a than unhappy FTOW it’s funny how…

A lot of what I thought would happen is starting to happen right now. I’m not here anymore but figured I’d see as to is anything was changing and it turns out that the RTM position was tested in a few markets and now it’s rolling out in many areas probably most. Makes me even more glad I got out.

I was always saying to myself that my reasoning why it hadn’t yet been implemented in our area was that it would happen under the circumstances that enough reps and/or RMS’ would leave that they would just give everyone left one giant territory and that the person will have the duties of a sales rep while doing the duties like scheduling and everything else a typical manager would do. But since none of the people who said they would leave left it would be a matter of when this rolls out nationwide,

Can’t see why they have to make things worse than mission 1. With the amount of people who take packages im willing to bet that anyone who isn’t looking to leave sales rep RMS or DM will most likely have a job. With the amount who will likely leave they will likely make the territories for these people even bigger which would have to expand the role of the FTOWs.

Problem is they don’t have the manpower from FTOW. Not enough people are interested in it. Even from the outside world they can’t get anyone to work for them. Can’t blame them I was overworked and treated like such cr-p towards the end. Had I not gotten out this is what I’d be dealing with. Even worse being pushed harder while still having the same absymal pay.

It’s definitely an unfair work load on ftows. Some will get a ton of work then some of the older ones have been with company 20 years and do a sh-t job and will refuse to do more than just 1 Walmart in a day so other ones have to do it

Certian ftow are given an unbelievable workload daily while others have it easy, and the ones who are breaking their backs end up quitting and going to other company's for more pay and half the work its unreal. Having 300 plus cases on top of four order writes and you walk into 2nd store and find an order not worked or backstock that really needs to be on the floor....but no one has been in the store in 3 days...thats the reality of most ftow's.

@em your story is like so many others and it is NOT ok! Your DM sounds like ours, a pig! Document everything, question everything in written form and cc yourself, poke the bear, and push back! Have fun with it! They are a joke

It's all empty threats, all the management will do is retaliate. Let them retaliate, document it and go to an employment lawyer.

@d5 OP here maybe the job is cake to you and maybe you think I complain a lot but maybe to you it’s cake because maybe in your area things are actually done right whereas my area well. Every day as a FTOW was getting slammed with work everyday. Pack out the order, write the order, go through backstock, write the credits etc while have 3 packouts and 2-3 writes and expected everything to be perfect. And having to clean up after people who did a sh-t job. Most people did a sh-t job because none of us had time to do our jobs good. And since I was relied on as being an all star a dependable and hard worker more was expected from me than the other FTOWs it’s like they can a su-kass job and it’s nothing because they can’t fire anyone cause they need people but I faced idle threats from my RMS and DM which my DM was my original RMS who would threaten to knock me to part time if I didn’t do a good enough job. Like I’m working my a-s off here I was drained comments like this seriously pi---d me off.
