Jan 2026 Hiring Freeze?

Is hiring for roles at the corporate office on some sort of a freeze? I was supposed to be a finalist for a position but am now being told the process is being paused. Any insight is greatly appreciated

Unless you are being promoted to a new useless VP role, moves will be on hold as they assess reorgs. Normal this time of year. Doesn’t mean the manager doesn’t still want you, but they have no say anymore. Bigger powers at play deciding our fate yet they have no idea who does what! P2W4 has historically been a significant week for organization movements (out the door). Then P3W1 is when leadership pretends to be all positive with announcements of new, leaner org structures for anyone who is left.

This happened to me last year. It’s just indicative another reorg is going to happen (probably in Feb/March) and they want to wait until that happens to transition you. Also, the org you’re going to has to make the case that the headcount being filled is warranted. Sometimes they do decide it’s not.

@v3 that is correct. They clearly told me only Indians are allowed for tech position. Entire friends and villages of relatives are here.

Feds must be called on this. This is dei in hyperdrive to suit Indians only.

I suspect this got removed because it's saying the quiet part out loud-

Sorry, but if you're not indian you are not welcome to work at Pepsi. They are allowed to discriminate

Why would you want to work for this nightmare company? I’d rather shovel horsesh*t in Centeal Park than work for those nasty employer.

Our HR department is not smart enough for that kind of plan. Good try though. Funny.

They told us to tell that to one candidate to see if he was the one blowing up the layoff board. Checkmate, bich
