of course, my heart goes out to those who lost their jobs and will lose their jobs, and heck I may also lose my job next week, but i have feeling based on what I do and our tiny team, I’ll probably stick around and get more responsibility or rather, more sh-t thrown on my plate and i’m sure many others will be in the same boat. So surely, we don’t have to worry as much about how we’ll put food on the table or pay the rent but our lives will be he-l and we’ll be gaslit by leadership when we complain about the increased workload and lack of resources to be “thankful” that we didn’t lose our jobs and to kiss the ring

@e2 it is in one of the leader scripts on magentapulse, to provide a demotion but the employee has a choice i think to accept severance in lieu. Like if a a sr manager (L8) to get stepped to a sr lead (L7) they could accept the decrease in pay and bonus or just take the severance and go. I’d personally if presented such a choice, go. No chance you’ll get promoted back up.
@a2
At least you still have a job after surviving the 2023 and 2025 Layoffs!
Can't say the same for myself after 2025 😑
@aq anyone know if demotions were offered?
@a2 and use ALL of your PTO, couple it with Holidays.
Salaried Exempt folks don't get breaks. You're told "you're paid a salary so you're on the clock 24x7"
I will do quiet quitting if they still keep me around
I agree, it’s a lame situation either way. The 2023 layoffs I made the cut and it came with extreme survivors guilt and more workload. My fate will be determined next week and likely will be let go based on what I’m seeing around the org.
For those who stay, please remember to take breaks, lunches, never work outside of those shift hours and take care of yourself as priority.
