@a3 their timing is absolutely horrible. They laid off managers who were only a few years away from retirement and are the main pillars of TD/TP. Loyal to a company for 40+ years only to get cut off like that. They are expecting the employees (who got lucky this round) to train their replacements in India for their “location strategy”. Recent meeting made it clear that their priority is the clients/shareholders and NOT the staff.

@OP I think these layoffs are very interesting in their timing, as we’re about to start the review process for last year’s performance and bonus. What a sh---y thing to do to people right before they receive their earnings. Even with the caveat that essentially no one made their numbers last year. My guess is the exec will still get their payout.
