In 2026, which job roles will be eliminated or reduced in the US and staffed in other (low cost) geographies? Scrum Master, RTE, Product Owners, Analysts? Interested in opinions here.

@mj you can’t transition leadership, despite what McKinsey told our useless leaders. Leadership isn’t just about knowing pieces of information
Half will go to Engine. The other half will go to MN who'll use ChatGPT to do the work.
The centralized robotics team; going to India.
Please divest our labs. Most left royally stink and service providers do a better job for lower cost.
The engine hiring has slowed because Chevron has transition to hire a contractor through a MSP first to see if they are good enough for an employee position. The teams in the engine are lacking the leadership transition from previous USA based teams. The higher LT thinks the work is transitioning smoothly but the organization in the engine do not have the Chevron experience to pick up the work in an efficient manner. The cost reductions will look good on paper but the profit centers are suffering.
We don't hear much about ENGINE that much anymore. I am starting to think Chevron hit a wall in terms of its ability to recruit and develop capability there. At least from the perspective of the BUs, there isn't as much wasteful, inefficient, or redundant work as the executives dreamed there was. It's always been lean in downstream and India really doesn't have much to offer in our case.
@OP all jobs are up for grabs. Even if you work in the field it’s not safe. They are cost cutting every where. Just have to roll with whatever comes. Have a backup plan for sure.
EAP, Ergonomics, and Ombuds
@ak no those jobs are safe. It's the PENCIL PUSHERS who need to really worry
Anything data or software or app “engineering” (lmao) and some finance too
One of the jobs is the engineers that perform the maintenance work on the platforms, plants, etc
Project Managers. Already in the news.
