Most jobs in Atlanta will be moving to Dallas once they open the new Plano HQ. Some jobs like marketing will be moving much sooner.

Lol, wrong. They're not consolidating to Dallas. He-l, they just got a center in Charlotte and all new CSO folks have to be in Charlotte. All you wanna be's with no clue talking like you know anything 🤣😂
I have been commuting to GA from NJ since April, now I guess can just look forward to commuting to TX until I retire!
The new offices won't be functional till atleast mid 2028.. im sure atlanta will be alive till then.
After that all bets are off.. but there is a significant number of people who need to move from atl to completely shut it down.. so unlikely that scenairo will happen till atleast 2030.. by that time most of att would have been culled...
Stankey = horrible
Legg = lapdog
McCarthey = lapdop with no spine or morales
@b1 they have thrown money away before… and some of Alpharetta upgrades could be the actual property management
A lot can change in 3 years
just like the $100M they spent on the Dallas office you tried to say they weren’t letting go, right
That was under Randal. Seems unlikely Stankey plans to shut down Len and Alph that soon. But, that’s not to say a new CEO could not change course or some event like a severe recession couldn’t change his plan. I also doubt they’ll have that new building going until 2030
Nope. They spent huge amount of money renovating Alpharetta. They arent letting that go.
Oh sweet summer child... It's time to dust off your resume.
This isn’t what I’ve heard but it’s more likely that you’re trolling and my sources aren’t good than it is for someone that would know that information posting it on this message board
well that sounds logical and all, but the people doubted the Plano reports too.
stankey believes the future of our company is in all of us being crammed into one call center, open office environment. And multiple locations might mean team members are in different cities. he hears the employees cry that they go into the office and dont have any coworkers there, so he is just going to fix that by making your job move to plano.
God help us.
Do the math. 500 people at $200K a year by the time you factor benefits, etc is $100M. If they can get 1000 people to quit by changing HQ location or moving hubs around, then move those jobs to contractors or overseas, the math adds up quickly.
Although you would need 400,000 people to quit at the $200K level in order to make up for the $80B that has been set on fire over the years. Thats where the math doesn’t work out, and creates an impossible situation.
Next stop will be Pune or Bangalore. Learn some Hindi my fiends.
@b1 just like the $100M they spent on the Dallas office you tried to say they weren’t letting go, right? Cmon, wake up
Convergence…mobility and fiber sold to the same customer. No need for Atalanta. They spent over $150million on the Discovery District, plus $10’s of millions more to renovate the buildings when they moved from SA. I seriously doubt the money spent in Atlanta is keeping them up at night. They will dump that place in a hot minute as they move more jobs to Dallas and downsize the company by half.
"Nope. They spent huge amount of money renovating Alpharetta. They arent letting that go."
Reasonable folks would think so, but this is AT&T. Don't count on it.
@b1 They spent $100 mil for that stuff outside Dallas HQ, you really think they care about $$$?
Nope. They spent huge amount of money renovating Alpharetta. They arent letting that go.

This would make absolutely no sense especially with the money they’ve poured into Atlanta - which is how I know it’s true!
Phonus. Baloneus
True. They are too close together to be two separate hubs. Pack yer bags!
Sounds about right. Spend a ton of $$ trying (not successfully) to make our Atlanta offices great and then bail out. Legg won't be here by 2028 either.
Wouldn’t surprise me. All the backfills and new opening are Dallas only it seems. Always been the plan to eliminate Atlanta.
Wouldn't it be a hoot if Trump broke up T and VZ and we went back to ROBCs?
Good night that would be sweet.
Plano won’t even be open until mid 2028.
Receipts?
