@ep Is BA Connected innovation??!! Forge and connected buildings? Glad we did it after HCE but think about what JCI did with OpenBlue, Schneider Electric with EcoStruxure, Siemens with their suite .. we maybe catching up but we are not the only one or the leader.
@e9 you clearly have no idea about the innovation BA is driving in its space. Check emotions at the door and learn some facts
You clearly have been hitting the egg nog early. Honeywell is not an innovative company, not even close. Our very newest products are 20 year old technology with a coat of cheap paint.
There are entire departments whose sole job is to prevent anything innovative from reaching our customers.
@b9 I don’t want to be rude but I must ask “what are you smoking”! Honeywell products have been underinvested in, no material innovation or material new product. Consistent R&D cuts. The last attempt to create Forge was a similar fiasco. I have spent decades in product/offering in Honeywell.
@b9 I think you are confusing products with antiques.
Honeywell has some major problems but their products are not one of them. It’s the org structure and culture that can be improved.
And those problems - well, not unique to Honeywell! So what you’re left with is top notch product in a company that is more messy than average.
What’s to discuss? Of course there will be layoffs. That’s what happens when your products don’t work even when you do manage to deliver them a year after the commit date. People will be laid off .. but you won’t know their name because like most Honeywell people you learned it isn’t worth it learner peoples names. Why bother when they are either useless to you or gone in 18 months.
Show of hands .. how many people know the name of their HR rep? Have you ever had lunch with them? Me neither. I call all of them either “Mike” or “Karen”. Wait a minute and I will be right.
