Has anyone heard of any layoffs going to be happening in Burlington to get us to all fit? I don't know how there going to fit us all in. What's the word someone had to know something.

Take laptops home? 😂. All one can say if the company lay people off, take your time to return it. After all, one will have other priorities and if the company wants to de-prioritize folks, return the favor in kind.
Look for NJ WARN listings filed with nj.gov nu going to https://www.nj.gov and then search for the keyword WARN for any notices for scheduled layoffs. There is already a pdf for 2026 but there are currently zero Canon layoffs announced. Keep in mind, the WARN notice is only required if the layoffs will near or reach 50 full or part time employees throughout the entire state. The last 2025 WARN notice has one employer listing less than 40. If Canon comes anywhere near close to 50 and fails to file a WARN notice, it's instantly wrongful termination and subject to litigation. Kobayashi knows he would have his azz handed to him if he violated. Some will likely be laid off but not many and they'll likely install Cognizant ProhanceMate or TimeWatch that will monitor every action, keystroke, etc to see everything anyone does and how much time they spend away from the laptop. And no....setting the mouse to move every few minutes will not prevent it from ratting anyone out as it will take screenshots every so often.
Weird we were told we were allowed to take our monitors they were just our responsibility. Maybe depends on your manager?
Reorg 2026 is coming next month. Read between lines of reorg that not one of the spineless leaders care to elaborate! Hold onto your hats folks! No package with this one !
The fact they are so adamant about taking everything home except the monitors on your desks is pretty much your tell tale sign that when the layoffs happen, it's an easy transition.. All of your stuff is already home and all you will have to do is send in your laptop.. There is no way without being cramped like sardines that the building is going to fit everyone comfortably.. They aren't building on to the building, just making EVERYTHING in your work space smaller..
