You either bring people who can do the work to where it is, or the work will go to where the people who can do it are.

The supplier side is already reacting to Intel Oregon. They are giving FSEs until EOY to relocate or stay and weather a layoff. Relocation bonuses are solid as the supplier side is doing well. One can literally watch the ‘people movement’ and figure out that Intel isn’t investing in Oregon anymore. TSMC seems to be where it’s at! If you want a career, don’t dive towards chronic job insecurity and leadership that’s not transparent.
