Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

The workload is already doubling and our peers are STILL on payroll

Can’t even imagine what this job will be like come next month.

So far the stress and workload has doubled as well as the quotas and that’s with our laid off coworkers still here

Im trying my best to be supportive, but the fact they are offering overtime due to vendors making mistakes is kinda ironic and comforting.

It is pretty intense. We have automation projects that was planned for 26'. We have to pull them forward as much as possible because this month and next month, there won't be a team to do the work or field the tickets. We are rushing it out the door like true vz fashion with velcro together hoping it doesn't break on a weekend. Pretty lame and workload has tripled

I mean yeah. I feel sorry for my friends that I am leaving behind. Unfortunately, the brunt of bad business decisions that are being made by lesdership will impact them even more because there are less people to share it.

to be honest, as the days go by, I care less and less about Verizon. I wish I still have a job. I wish I wasn't laid off. It is affecting me a lot personally.

We chose to keep the brown nose yes man who never sees any problems with managements ideas but fired the loud workaholic who gave realistic timetables

Natural selection of will thin the sales force as corp stores slowly roll into agent owned over the next 18 months.

Yep. Raise hands. Now we have AI, our vendors/contractors will not document and let us feed into AI.
