It’s a start, but it is just that - a start.

Next they need to reign in all the AI layoffs taking place. When no one has a job, can’t find a job, this h1b thing will pale in comparison. Not to mention, who’s going to buy and pay for anything if no one is working?

I’ve already spoke to lawmakers about this and I pointed this out over two months ago. What I told congressmen is 1. This will not stop companies like this one, and 2 they already have workarounds and ways to deny they knew because how they use their hand picked contracting companies. While this telecom is why this move was made, this will not be helpful to the current skilled workers that were already impacted by these shady tactics. Watch and see, you won’t see an influx of the Sandler people leaving the business.
