Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Anthem Immigration

I don’t pay much attention to PULSE but saw this on mine under Quick Actions. A link titled Review Labor Conditions Applications. All notice of intent to employ a non immigrant H-1B in multiple states and positions. Appears jobs are for $100k or more with a 3 year employment.
So no one in the US is capable of fulfilling these jobs? 😡

If you look at most of these postings, nearly all are for engineers which would be a $100k job.

Department of Justice (DOJ): Report discrimination based on citizenship status, such as an employer preferring H-1B workers over equally qualified U.S. workers.
You can contact the Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (IER) to report these issues.

So the great messiah in the White House couldn’t do anything about this? Instead of companies paying 100K to allow an H1 to stay, they are paying 100K to the H1. I find it hilariously ironic actually.

But yes there is a cyber architecture position opening—only in India. 🤬 they don’t want to pay US salaries.

There are definitely people available to do the job but given the toxic culture that awards mediocrity and disincentivizes non alignment with your manager's thought process, only H1B guys can survive in that job. I have seen so many people struggle in the miserable work culture that the company offers
