Nobody is safe anymore those days. Sanjiv is just a messenger here. When 13.000 people are riffed from the US, of course there's gonna be an impact in Emea. Especially when reporting lines are cross continental. What a nice Christmas present for all these devoted employees. And it's only the beginning.

The email from Sanjiv did not say EMEA is safe. It said no decisions have been taken per the email of Dan.
the EMEA RIF and report, already started last week, and was happening, with or without Dan.
Dan’s is just on top of… hence the ‘ no decisions have been taken’

GNT and was RIF'd.
I'm taking that as a blessing seeing how much of the workforce is being RIF'd, and the future of Vz and the morale of the remaining employees.

Definitely not safe. WSJ article mentions that while US employees are notified today, employees abroad may be informed in coming weeks.

GNT is NOT safe

Not safe. Just can't be notified today. Takes longer to clear the work councils. You'll be on pins and needles for several weeks waiting for that shoe to drop.

India is off the hook is what you mean. No need to outsource if you install a company in the land of outsourcing.

Sanjiv asks EMEA to be “sensitive” when reaching out to US colleagues…
Are the layoffs calls sensitive?

EMEA is not “safe”, there are currently layoffs in sales org. Then it will follow…
