Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Judging by the stock price tanking even further, it's obvious that the market didn't care for the CFO being fired for leaving to" pursue other options." The good news is that they replaced the Xerox CFO with the Lexmark CFO who was running a company that is the fraction of the size of the combined Xerox and Lexmark. Good old stretch job! I'm guessing the old CFO will take the fall for missed projections, and the good news is that a more capable CFO is now in the job. You have wonder how the CEO could write a lengthy diatribe about the greatness of JB when he "left voluntarily to work for the dog Vet company" and fire the CFO for reporting the results! The JB days were a complete disaster, and it shows how out of touch SB is when he continues to defend his BFF when his buddy's results were so awful. Blame the CFO, I guess

Janitors would be much more useful at xerox. At least they know how to clean up a mess. Unfortunately they wouldn’t be given tools required; no mop, bucket, sawdust. They need go to local fast food place for free napkins to clean up the puke piles... did Lexmark bring any mops?

Took me a year and roughly 200 applications but I’m finally in the running for 2 excellent positions.

@aj please do not insult janitors, they as a group have much higher IQ.

@ct did you ever think that there are many of us who DO want to get out, but can't just walk away without another job lined up?? Jolly good for you if you can manage a family and household without any income, but some of us are stuck until we manage to find something new in this rotten job market. No need to insult everyone

A Lie is best hidden between two truths.

Put that into your Xerox portfolio and smoke it. You have been deceived, and used, and bamboozled. Yet somehow you people are justifying it. Absolutely insane.
There is no reason on God’s earth to stay in this company or have anything to do with it, for any reason whatsoever.
If you are still here, it’s just means that you are unable to make a decision in life, and need to be told what to do. Very sad.
You need to get out with some remote form of dignity now. Immediately so.

Ex-CFO Luca Maestri made the right decision in going to Apple, a few hundred million dollars in earnings later, probably the only person to leave Xerox and go on to better things.

Perhaps someone could find a janitors job in Queens for the soon-to-be ex-CEO Stevie boy.

@ac, no one said otherwise, why are you so angry?

I feel as though the majority of conversation is centered around not being duplicate roles but that they are all being filled by Lexmark leadership while the Xerox people are all "spending more time with their family", right before the holidays.

You little pan$ies are worse than a sewing circle. It’s simple, there are duplicate roles across both organizations and he won out. That’s it. No more, no less. Won’t be the last announcement as this will continue through end of Q1.

"who cooks a loss"

The loss was greater than the loss reported, don't misunderstand.

No drama here. Lex guy won out. And to the stupid guy saying the books are cooked, they are not. And you can tell that by how horrible the results were. Who cooks a loss....

Is the entire Lexmark team in place yet? Have all the suits been installed to replace our Xerox leadership?

Lexmark bought Xerox allXerox folks are spending more time with their family as Lexmark executives get announced. Let’s hope some of them have Jethro Bodeen clampet education, smarter than Xerox folks

Why would we need a chief financial officer if the financials are cooked anyway? Anyone can make up numbers in a book without a CFO salary.

Hi all! I'm the doom and gloom Goodwill Write down guy, and holy F&^&&# Sh&^, I don't believe it. WOW! CEOs and COOs come and go, but firing the CFO is the biggest red flag there is.

Q4 might be worse than I thought.

@OP just read the same. This is sinking quicker then thought. If you are SB you gotta be like I don’t give a flying fu-k now - it’s impossible for him to stay positive. Not humanly possible when you are surrounded by quicksand.
