Staffing Committee meet last week

Does anyone know how the selection committee proceedings went for higher CLs last week? Are positions changing much?

Did anyone already got hints from managements if they get to stay or get a package? The suspense is ki-ling my holiday spirit.

Will CL28-29 get their communication earlier (December) vs. cl 20-27?

Each role will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice to account for false positive relocation surveys. You are only able to be 1st choice for one role.

@tj sure there maybe some Dei but it's overwhelmingly overshadowed by collusion, cronyism and nepotism plus affinity to hire or promote "someone who looks like me" . Just see how many women or non white male at the top of the house compared to the whole workforce population overall.

@st that's true. There are also plenty of people that think they are more valuable than they are.

@qy DEI is very real within Imperial and other companies. If you think it isn't, you're delusional..

Imperial, like any other big corporation, is politics, ego, and narcissism first, meritocracy distant last.

All these dei jabs are just stupid. White males are still the ruling class overall. Senior management roles are still disproportionately white men.
Time for some reality check, if you are white male but didn't get the share of the pie maybe because you just really are not that good.

@e1 what information is leaking? You will retain your Rsu”s unless you get released for cause and it would have to be pretty severe to lose your rsu’s or of course if you quit they are gone.

I disagree. You will see people across the cl ranges leave and the dei comment is stupid. High level jobs are more luck, right time, right place, right manager, opportunities etc. and someone gets a good job. Doesn’t mean others colluding do the job. Remember the higher you go the harder the competition and unless your gifted a he-l of a lot of work.

Remember how many of those in the higher CL categories got there in the first place? In my experience, DEI candidates and many returning from parental leave did amazingly well. If you believed meritocracy was the only factor in determining career progression, you were totally wrong. Those higher CL species will be accommodated and protected at all costs, similar to the Toronto/Calgary move in 2004/2005.

Do you think people in the know will be risking their RSUs leaking info on this forum?

Sorry, if you are expecting big changes, you will be disappointed. Higher CL people are keep their jobs intact. Only the minions suffer.
