Unfortunately, the office I left due to covid is not the same as what I will return to with the latest building updates. We lost cubes and dedicated desks so Ford can chase the fad of open office space. I've been in several times recently and find it loud and horribly distracting. Our leaders seem to think we spend all day collaborating, but that's just not the case for everyone. We are already short on conference rooms with less that 10% of people in the building since everyone uses them to get some peace and quiet.
I also have not seen any real data that shows that working from home is not effective. People keep blaming the quality problems on wfh, but no data to support. Causation versus correlation. They don't seem to acknowledge the other factors that correlate with the warranty issues: job cuts with no reduction in workload over the past 5+ years, the Smart Redesign, reduction in test vehicles without correlated analytical DV methods.
Perfectly summed up by @yjk+1kChFamd.
