You could all learn a lot from them and vice versa. Embrace the change, resistance is futile. Oh and Eliza too!

1 out of 10 analyst actually does anything truly useful. At best 3 out of 10 are worth their salary.

I don't know if it's BNY's hiring decision/process that is causing is or are 22 year olds from 2025 all useless.

Little history from back in the day - Pershing hired a cohort of Stevens Insitute of Technology grads back in the day and put them up on a similar analyst pedestal - job rotations, special treatment/pay scale and all. One day an HR team member went to gather them for a meeting and could not find even one of them in the building. It turned out they were bored and caught a movie together at the AMC multiplex on Route 10 during the workday, and it was not the first time. Some of us worked with them, they were nothing special. And they all exited the firm rather quick, most within 2 years, but I think all within 4. One had an alleged romp with another similar age employee inside the building, and there was a rumor about a Christmas party and a married older exec. Good times.

Excuse my ignorance, but what are these people supposed to do?

Lucky we don’t have any in our group.
