Thread regarding Thrivent Financial layoffs

@sp To provide some clarity on the VP of Data (AA) situation:

He held the role from March 2024 through November 2025. His departure was a termination for cause, specifically following a series of documented employee complaints regarding his conduct and treatment of the team.

While there is general anxiety about the 100-200 other roles impacted, this specific exit was a performance and behavioral correction rather than a strategic 'reduction in force.' In most high-performing organizations, a management mismatch of this nature would have been addressed much earlier to protect the department's culture."

VP of data let go. Who else?

20+ year veterans are not an “oh no” moment at a place like Thrivent. They’ve been pushing the change nonsense and overhiring for the past 4 years. How much did this cut into their “strategy”?
