The question is will UP keep 2 major repair shops, other repair shops may not be affected, depending on new traffic pattern.

Apparently "anonymous" don't work at Juniata, DC to AC project will be done next year. UP paints more locomotives in a month than we do in a year. Not going to keep 100 acre repair shop open for a single booth dead chicken paint booth open.WTHeck.
Juniata isnt going anywhere. If the aquisition goes thru, the paint jobs and DC to AC conversions will keep that place busy for years to come.
