Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

where any H1Bs let go in your group?

None of the H1Bs were fired in my group, how about your group.

sure seems like companies should layoff the H1Bs before US citizens, for a US based company.

It's all about the Benjamins. They canned a bunch of managers because the managers don't directly produce anything, and they're expensive.

H1Bs exist because they're cheaper, and you can push them harder because if they sc--w up, don't perform and get fired they have to find another job in 60 days. So in a practical sense, they're the LAST people you fire.

Yes, one was. But this is not a US company. BC and Buddies were boasting about how TII did all the marketing for 2024 holidays.

We are an Indian company that is marketing and selling to people on the other side of the planet… and wondering why we struggle

H1B isn't a race though and they have their own countries they are proud of.

There are many impacted. It is almost impossible to find a job in Visa now and it is a total disaster for them.
They have to find another job within 60 days else they need to leave the country.
Imagine a family with teen kids who need to go through this.

Why should they? Nationalism is an outdated, patriarchal, exclusionary and racist concept. I think H1Bs should take priority in order to defeat racism. The more H1Bs we get, the more racism we defeat.
