DDAT layoffs have begun

Myself and a few other colleagues have received the “important business update” email this morning. Good luck folks, going to be a bumpy ride..

DDAT appears to be under the microscope, but the rifs will be a shell game. Nobody likes working with ddat. Now that TM has entire company dependent upon him, he will je-k the chain by demonstrating slowdowns caused by not giving him complete control, and end up getting the green light to get his budget next year, more control, and additional responsibilities funneled under ddat. Next all analytical roles in the businesses will have to go to ddat.

@164 True they have a right to bring in whom they want provided individuals whom they hire are a right fit for the organization and that theirs an open position for them. Right to hire is not a right to BLATANT NEPOTISM. Favoritism is rampant. They are hiring individuals from their previous health services org regardless of their capabilities. They steal perfectly built products and teams that have high visibility and move them under their favored candidates to justify the hire. This is down right corrupt and unethical behavior. This new hire has no clue what they are doing. They know they are protected therefore have no reason to be productive or collaborate with other teams.

@160 You are mistaken. Extremely productive individuals with proven outcomes and having a ton of work load individuals were let go. There is no logical method to this madness.

@164
2900 were not laid off last October through this year based on public notification.

That was the number given last year.

So either corporate is lying or...corporate is lying.

@15r Call it what you want, when leadership changes, the new leaders have the right to bring in their own people. Again, the entire premise of this post and all of the replies are an attempt to fear monger that widespread (2500) layoffs were occurring in three phases, in October and November. That's not what this is and to pretend it is, is not only disingenuous, but severely deranged. NEXT!

@15r

Yep. And that's just CVS. DDAT includes AIS and legacy Aetna BDAs now.

All I know is while I wasn't valued by those who made the decision. I look back and see how I helped to change a company, created jobs, and innovated for our customers and I sleep well at night.

@bt Because the slackers know how to schmooze.

I do not know one software engineer that doesn't put in over and above during the week, off hour calls, demanding emails that something has to be done ASAP. Yet they can only put 40 hours in Clarity.

Personal plans, constantly be thwarted.

@ws Please post a single link to any of the posts that are "all over linkedin." We'll wait for it, because it's not coming, just as these cuts haven't happened. It's all fake news and wishcasting a few truly deranged folks. NEXT!

@w8 I promise that I know of at least 11 people in UX who were let go. It’s all over LinkedIn.

@w8 The only thing fake here is you troll! The layoffs have happened. Many good people have been adversely impacted. People who have been dedicated to delivering for our customers. How do I know? Because I have worked side by side with a good number of the people who were let go. So do us all a favor, take your vitriol somewhere else. You know nothing and have nothing of value to contribute here.

@r2 Get lost troll! There have been significant layoffs across the DDAT org this week. A number of incredible colleagues have been let go. Crawl back under your damn rock.

@qk I'll play around, despite obviously trolling. Where is the search taking place? Not a single detail posted here. Just more cryptic chatGPT nonsense. Not a single post on any socials, either. People are always let go for one reason or another, but to believe there's any credibility to, mass "DDAT layoffs have begun" is fear mongering fake news.

@js

FAKE NEWS. The company provides a three-week rehire period, during which you may be considered for a similar or available position that matches your qualifications. If you are unable to secure a role within that timeframe, the company offers a severance package. It is your choice to accept the severance and comply with company policies, or to leave without it.

In cases of layoffs, the company provides severance pay equivalent to one week for every year of service. After severance is exhausted, unemployment benefits may be available, with the amount and duration determined by state regulations.

Yep. Make no mistake they will cut people here long term to bring in people who cost less for the same role.

Totally su-ks. I've been here 26 years. Severance is staged so you can't apply for unemployment benefits. I'm still numb but can feel anger underneath that's not coming out yet.

Be leary of posts like this from people saying they are journalists. They may be trying to get personal information from you, information such as your name, compensation level, etc. A real journalist would go to the company for information.

@b1 it all depends on your job grade. Then you get 4 more weeks on top of that as that is a legal rule for "notice" period. I believe if you live in NJ, thats more like 8 weeks.

@f3 CVS happened to do mass layoffs right before Earnings call like most companies nowadays (like Amazon).

The funny thing is how all the media is not reporting about, nor is CVS reporting about this and about the total number of layoffs.

Could be to help with investor confidence

Hi, I'm Ike Swetlitz, a health journalist with Bloomberg News, and I write stories about big health care companies like CVS. I'm trying to learn more about these layoffs -- if any of you would like to speak with me, you can reach me at 630-544-9414 or iswetlitz@bloomberg.net -- I will NOT use your name in the story or quote you.
