172 people let go. Some in hubs but many not. The indignity is they are forced to take a ple training to get their severance .

@a5 when I took a Voluntary offer. I had to wait 8 years until SS. Thank you AT&T for the bridge.

“… quality turnover documentation is created…” the funniest thing I read all day! Thanks for the laugh 😂. If they tap you on the shoulder and said ‘Get out, you have 2 weeks!’ You’re going to tell me you’ll be worried about leaving them in the lurch??? Seriously?

Continuity documentation should already be in place and just needing to be fine tuned during the last 2 weeks.

There also needs to be a better checkout process to ensuee quality turnover documentation is created before an employee leaves and severance is granted.

Damn, just give them their money and let them go. Most are probably within a stone's throw of retirement anyway, so they aren't going somewhere else, they're jsut going to try to make it stretch to Medicare and SS age.
