Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

How does finance usually do in things like this?

Finance already runs super lean and has many lower level analyst spots open. Will it be spread even thinner in the lower positions? Will Sr Managers be mostly affected? I would assume that it isn’t the first to be cut..

Hopefully a mass purge of L7’sand L8’s. That’s was the best thing that could happen.

@cm I agree, I haven’t heard anything about the L4s other than they don’t have many of them and there is higher turnover.

@c6 What’s wrong with the L4s? Not familiar with the Finance space

I would not trust the finance org with the current L4s in my opinion. I also think on the other hand way too many L6/L7/L8s who don’t do much and should get cut. For people who do survive, it’s going to be terrible

Finance is never more safe or less safe than other areas. The bloated structure means everyone is basically expendable. That is the reality.

I think definitely regardless of level remote people will have an RTO. And then I would assume that if your partners are getting heavily restructured expect the same for you. I’m a planner and I’ve heard that MFA is heavily L6s who can probably get slashed pretty well. Honestly no one is safe in this

This is an India play, all these jobs will be posted at TII in days. This makes it even more nerve racking as the number of roles they can send there in error is high.

Remember the 2024 TGT Together of them boasting how India made the entire holiday ad campaign? And then we did horribly in sales? Sigh.
