Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Seems offices are needed in Pittsburgh

Overheard two managers talking about upcoming layoffs the first Monday of November. Didn’t hear the whole conversation but heard WFH staff in Oriskany and Dallas. The list has been finalized and positions are being filled in Pittsburgh and Houston. Good luck everyone.

@zj Sanders Creek still sits empty as well. Was a nice building. Drove by the other day - it was sad

None of the locations they closed and forced home should be on the chopping block. Many are low cost areas and make
More sense to have locations their seeing they sc--w them on pay compared to overpriced NYC and PA. Whats even more entertaining is they own these buildings and pay taxes on them to let them sit empty while bi--hing about staff wfh home. Oriskany is one of many locations they closed yet everyone acts like they are the only ones. That building is in a low cost area, nice section, low traffic and big free parking lot yet for 2 years its been empty while bny pays taxes. Make it make sense

They always lay off right before the holidays so it wouldn’t surprise me.

Makes sense to get rid of Oriskany. They’re the ones who know sh-t and yet PA, NY and India teams they have to deal cant do sh-t without them. Best idea ever
