Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Lawsuit is Looming!!!!

One of the key characteristics of exempt employees is flexible hours. Employees of this bank work more or fewer than 40 hours in a week, but they get their work done. Do we have a few bad apples? Every place does. Bring it DF, we right here!!!

OP, don’t worry there are plenty of people who will be happy to take your inflated salary and work 8-10 hours. Some of them are the same folks who were pleading for a package and now they found that jobs are hard to get.

Stop feeling entitled. You can opt for socialism where someone gets a piece of your salary .

We've found another mo--n who thinks its illegal for a company to expect you to come to work. If you ever leave WF they are going to be in for a rude awakening as employers can not only tell you where and when to work they can make you work a lot more than 8hrs a day or 40 a week if they wish. You have the right to quit and go find this imaginary place where you get paid to work whenever you feel like it and never need to leave your house. Wake up Alice, this ain't Wonderland.

company is paying you a fixed wage to get your job done. like it or not, they can dictate that you work 60 hours a week and also dictate when and where that 60 hours takes place. what they can't do is pay you less if you work less than 60 or 40 hours a week. They can also penalize you if you don't meet their requirements. even in employee friendly states this holds true. feel free to find a lawyer to take the case. perhaps you could argue it from the standpoint that we should be reclassified as non exempt and therefore subject to overtime. good luck
