Employees who don't live near a hub

Is the plan that any remote employees, or those who don't live close enough near a hub, will be let go by 2027 if they don't relocate?

There are still over 12,000 remote workers.

My group got rid of many remote people earlier this year…. There are still a few lingering, but they supposedly have documented accommodations…. One still has time to drive her kids all over the county to therapy, activities and school. I don’t understand all that BS.

@OP I would think so. As they say, the writing is on the wall.

Unless you are a senior executive. Then you can be remote or in non-core locations as much as you like.

I thought this was a 3 year process and 2026 is the last year which includes CA. It could be different for each LOB.

They’ve already been laying these people off for years. You are on the list if you aren’t within 40 miles of a hub.

There will always be some remote employees, but HY clearly wants to whittle the number down as much as possible.
