WF laptops

My laptop is so slow ALL THE TIME and WF makes it so difficult to get a new or better one. What laptop model do you have and does it work? Any tips?

Same. I have a Microsoft laptop and it’s junk, so slow too because it’s loaded with so much WF spyware, it makes it quite frustrating and difficult to get work done

Could be dusty inside? Make an appointment with Tech Connections and they'll pop the cover off and if confirmed, remove the dust for you. They don't recommend you do it yourself. Plus, visiting Tech Connections gets you offline for a little while and you can mentally recharge.

Just lift your laptop up. Look at the bottom. If it doesn't have vent slots, it probably wont have a fan. Its not made for whole day office work, its made for schools. Going to class to take notes or doing a bit of reading. It will overheat a bit throughout the day. The thermal paste also gets old and doesn't transfer heat as well anymore.
This wont damage the laptop itself, but it will throttle down. If you lift the laptop up a bit, or better yet, put a fan under it, it will help.

I just use the poor response time to attend to my own pursuits. If the laptop is ready when I'm through, I do a little work until it slows again. Rinse and repeat.

Yes, put it on a cooling pad. These laptops overheat easily and then it throttles the CPU down.

Also, keep in mind, it could be your connection to all the services. The technology clowns turned our computers into essentially dummy terminals.

You can try to request a developer laptop with a minimum of 32 GB ram.
