Was this really the best use of time and money? Don’t get me wrong PHK is a phenom, legend, etc. I love the guy. I can’t imagine he signed off on this nor can I fathom that time and energy was spent doing this project vs oh I don’t know - new designs, stock price, dumping more sh---y leaders etc. etc.
Could’ve just named it Shoe Dawg Campus. There … you’re welcome!
It could be a place of higher education university … PHK U!
Hahahahahaha
I just have to laugh at this!! In Indonesia, “PHK” actually means layoff! Oh boy…
Let’s not forget the awkward Joe Paterno Child Development Center … oof
PKC would have been a much better joice
What a PHKing stupid idea
Safer bet than calling it lance Armstrong center….
Man. If this dude dies in the next year or two this is going to come across so badly.
Now go and update all your slides, documents, business cards etc etc. more busy work under the pretense of celebrating PK. Ignore the real issues facing the company
Regardless of how I feel about the company right now (unhappy af), this place gave me an income, great people to spend time and create memories, and years of learning and growth. So I’ll honor the visionaries that created all this. That being said, PHK not only won’t catch but, as you can see, it’s an easy joke.
This is like the id--tic idea to try and rename the DoD to the dept of war. Both are meaningless and will waste a lot of time and money
Clearly a sign of Phil’s health deteriorating, hope he’s ok
What a d-mb idea! Waste of time, money and resources.
I love Phil and Elliott as much as the next guy.
But this rebrand / new name will never stick.
Let's solve some real problems.
Celebrate the guy!
He died?
It’s so you can say “PHK!”
Here’s a theory; It achieves honoring the guy who started the business so you have a job.
It means they want to decentralize the business out of the west coast US to cut costs.
This might be conspiratorial, but Nike inc. no longer has a world head quarters.
Seems to me like they’re making plays to divest from Nike WHQ and likely move operations further overseas. Also seems like a larger play to make Nike just one of the brands under the company umbrella.
Typical of corporations that are looking to become more palatable to buy outs.
Make things less specific, less storied, so they’re easier to market to the highest bidder for whatever purpose.
