Thread regarding Imperial Oil Limited layoffs

Am I the only one who simply doesn’t care anymore?

Lay me off or don’t, I don’t give a damn. I’ve been stressing so much and finally realized I’m destroying my health and for what? A company that’s happy to betray not just us but everything we used to stand for. I’m done with that. Yeah, losing my job wouldn’t be great without something lined up, but you know what? Others have been through it over the past few years, and every single one of them ended up doing perfectly fine after a while. So I just don’t give a damn anymore. I do my job, nothing more, nothing less, and that’s it.

Oh whatever; you do realize that you could have found another job less stressful to your sensitive disposition anytime before this? Or are you just daft?

lol. Can’t believe people say bottom feeders. Guess what, it won’t be the low performers just leaving. Besides, there really isn’t any left. Good employees leaving. I’m nice the hall of souls is empty, you can be next. We all can’t claim donuts and candy distribution as a true EADs performance!

Yes I’ll gladly take the “bottom of the barrel” coworkers as you call them. On the bright side, I’ll have a long career with Imperial until I decide I want to leave ;)
Cheers

@cc ya maybe you work with bottom of the barrel. I have had the pleasure of working with a bunch of snakes, leeches and two faced creatures. But I'm sure you are not envious at all.

It's not worth caring about. The same id--ts that believed every lie the company told them, the same ones who abused the benefits are all the same id--ts that kept voting for a business environment in Canada that no one wants to take risk with. Move on to greener pastures and a healthier life.

It's funny we all talk about missing coworkers but at the same time it's also our coworkers that burn this company to the ground, outsource work and make these stup1d short sighted decisions. And it's also our coworkers that roll out this stup1d low ball severance estimate.

I left Imperial Oil some time ago. So, I can talk from my experience. After leaving the company, you don’t miss the company, you miss the people you worked with.

I agree with you, except I don't dig their working notice to minimize the severance liability, dragging this into a two year suffering.
