Myself and a bunch of other people got laid off in the health area at Allstate.

They always say it wasn’t money driven but why else do it?
Wow, sorry to hear this. Good luck with the job search. Hopefully you all will end up better off because of it.
Any idea on the number of people impacted?
@c3 "I would LOVE for the demographics of this decision to be made public. I would LOVE for the demographics of this decision to be made public. "
Weirdly. as someone in the June batch, they give ages/roles in the paperwork. Well, not weirdly I guess since it has to be required apparently
Aaron Goddard pulled everyone into a quick meeting yesterday, after all management broke the news to their team, and said following in nearly the same breath: “We’ve known about this since May”, “This wasn’t a money driven decision”, and “The company will be stronger for this change”.
Not a single person is going to believe the lie that this wasn’t money driven. I can also tell you for a fact that they let go of nearly every quick working, competent employee who was on my team. I don’t see how keeping incompetent, slow workers is going to make the company stronger. According to upper management, they didn’t get a choice on who to cut.. some I believe and others I don’t.
I would LOVE for the demographics of this decision to be made public. With all the constant DEI training Allstate put us through, it would shed some public light on where their priorities actually are.. and it isn’t in the hard working and competent categories.
@OP Same. About 3/4 of the training team, about 1/3 of the QA team, and about 3/4 of AHCP - HST’s contracting team.
That’s all I know of, but Goddard said it wasn’t money related. They’re having a meeting in the 6th to tell whatever lies they’re going to tell to those who get to keep their jobs.
