And that is why you still have a job, because you were helping reduce the price.
Now the price has gone down, you have fulfilled your function.
Consider it a project that has come to an end, once complete you either move to a new job or go unemployed.
This sort of thing happens all the time in EPC and vendor organizations.
And this is also an opportunity to do new things, create new possibilities, unleash your entrepreneurial spirit. Being a conservative business friendly province that might merge with USA, the options are endless, the hard working will excel while stagnant ones will end up with no jobs and not even free Healthcare coverage.
Have you seen the LinkedIn profiles of the BTC engineers? Seems like they are doing all the work, and we are just sitting on our thumbs here in Calgary.
