Ah yes, the mythical IT Union. That is right up there with unicorns, honest Nigerian prince emails, competent leadership, and a corporate WiFi network that doesn't collapse when someone sneezes near an access point.
Expecting the IT department to form a union is like expecting a herd of intoxicated squirrels to form a jazz band. With instruments. In sync. During a thunderstorm.
These are the same folks who think “agile” means skipping standups and “teamwork” means blaming the business side for everything. They’re not holding onto their jobs because of any level of technical competence, they’ve just mastered the ancient corporate martial art of su-king up so hard, they bend the space-time continuum around their incompetence.
Half of them can’t even organize their desktop icons, SNOW tickets, or ADO boards, but sure, let’s believe they’ve got what it takes to organize a collective bargaining unit. Please.
A union? These people can’t even unionize their browser tabs.
Can't hurt.
Did you graduate yesterday? Your demonstrated lack of knowledge of American labor dynamics is embarrassing.
Too late to the game. Only buys a little time anyway
