I know the FAQ says 3 weeks after signing the separation agreement. But as we have seen here some people got their laptop return box before "3 weeks" as well, some even before the separation date. O is being somewhat opaque about all this (big surprise). Just curious if anyone already got their cash yet.

@k2 If you are talking about RSUs, the price they vest at is the base price. They do a tax withholding at vesting time. If you sell them later there is no withholding, but you may owe some tax on April 15 if the share price when sold has gone up since vesting.
Hope that helps.
Just got mine.
US severance was deposited today. Your mileage may vary.
It is considered income even after you pay the sell to cover tax.
They wont defer, they want you off their books as soon as possible for the write down.
Signed separation agreement on 9/23, box arrived on 9/25, Redwood Shores signed for it on 9/29. No severance checks yet as of 10/2. Additionally, Oracle has not applied the 1st month of the Cobra payment to Benefit Connect, while it is retroactive to your separation date it is cancelled in UHC so prescriptions can't get filled, medical scans, doctor's appointments are cancelled and can't even get a flu shot unless you pay out of pocket full cost $$$ then go back and file claims manually once Cobra gets activated. Better Days Ahead!
I still don't have my return box, and the agreement says the payment is not going happen until all Oracle property is confirmed as returned.
Why this could not have been sent out 4 weeks ago when I was notified, I have no clue.
@ca Has anyone contacted HR about deferring the severance payout?
@OP got my box 1 day after signing my separation document.
@bq Add the income from the vesting RSUs and the severance package and you could end up on a higher tax bracket.
How are the vesting options going to hurt taxes? They withhold at vesting? Sorry- not sure…….
Hoping Fedex loses my notebook, don't want that severance until next tax year. ORCL stock options are going to ki-l my annual taxes this year.
No box yet.
@a1 That WOULD be best, tax-wise, but I'm my sole support and would have to dip into my IRA to support me until then and I really don't want to do that.
still no laptop return box
Nope, hoping they forget about it until January 1st.
