Yes. The writing is on the wall. Chevron will move everything they can to India. Don’t train your replacement. TL’s don’t even know what’s going on. Either they know and they’re BS’ing all of us or even they are being kept out of the loop. Either way this won’t be good for any of us. My position is safe, but I’ve seen too many go. My plan is to use them for a paycheck until I secure a better position. As soon as that happens, I will be exiting stage left. It’s 1,000x easier to get another job while you’re still working. At my last job I knew that they were about to do layoffs and I stayed. It took me a very stressful year+ to get a job since was unemployed. My two previous jobs I landed within three months of applying since I was still employed. I’ve learned my lesson.
There are a few jobs in the PDC that the transition folks and people left standing could apply to in my discipline. I just don't know how many transition folks there were from round 1. Good luck to everyone!
Unless the rules of the game changed between Wave 1 and 2 which is entirely possible as this company operates with no integrity or consistency those roles have a known end date with severance.
