You might get offered another nice package to leave. I’ve gotten two. Now retired
Get at least a 1 grade increase from when you left. You will be starting over so the time in grade counter for promotion eligibility resets. Go for more if you can get it.
Same as any hire as your time served resets depending on how long ago you left.
You do have a disadvantage if you were laied off and rehired in a year, as you will have to pay back some or all of your severence/cobra allowance. So watch out for that.
