I have been a CRC for seven years and have seen many changes. Each year we have less people to help the customers. I am concerned they will shut down more branches soon. Does any one have any information

The branches are loaded full of under paid employees teaching grandma what an app is and D-mbbells with flip phones.
Unfortunately, as a whole across the board I see banks eliminating branches. Everything is moving to online based servicing, especially with the push for AI. The goal is to eliminate these types of roles to save money. So, it would probably be smart to start looking at other career options for yourself. I know I will do everything possible not to go to a branch, even for a simple deposit, because it's one extra thing I have to factor in and make an extra stop for, which is absolutely not happening unless I cannot do it any other way.
You also have less customers coming in…..
For a bank that is wanting to cut down costs, i would definitely think that more branch closings would be happening. There is more and more people that are doing their banking online or with apps and have no need for a physical bank (myself included). I never go to an actual bank anymore.
