What’s the process for employees that are impacted this round?

In the last round, my co-worker had a 1:1 with our manager in person + VP over Teams.
He came out celebrating and walked down the cubes, letting us know he'd been given the package.
From that day on, we rarely saw the green status on Teams for him, and email responses were always delayed.
