Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Any truth to this regarding EMEA?

Today's rumour is that oracle is taking to EWC mid September. Was not told who the source of the info is. Likely no action in EMEA until the end of the month or October then?

I hope EMEA starts asap. Being like this, without knowing, is not healthy and it just creates more and more anxiety on the teams.
They should get some ba--s and just be honest on what's happening and share the news. We all know that there will be layoffs in Europe and delaying this is not good for anyone.

They will cut in Switzerland and Middle-East, no labor laws there.
Super easy! I've been told 25% cut those countries.

If it’s anything like 2022, then yes this is the timeline.

US went first (no real labor laws) and this started in August through Sept.

EMEA began with countries like the UK in Oct / Nov. Spain, France, Germany often taken longer due to workers councils.

It’s already sequenced and often mirrors the US, so if your team was impacted there, it’s likely other countries may not have all happened yet.
