The fact that you need to be a manager to make 140K is just ridiculous.
The market has moved on long time ago; it this really what HON is paying?
I am on my 3rd job in the engineering field, and I've been paid 140-155K in every single Sr. Engineer position that I held with the last 3 companies I worked for during the past few years.
You shouldn't need to have a manager responsibilities to make 150K. A manager line employee should be paid much more for all the stress they go through between managing others, mentoring others an working on their own projects.
Love seeing people with under 10 yrs experience making more than those with 30+ years in Honeywell. Age discrimination for sure. Trying to get people to leave in their own vs any attempt at retention and fair pay.
Not even close. I'm under 120 as a band 4 in Phoenix.
I'm a Band 3 Sr. Engineer Making $130K. I've only been at Honeywell for <6 years. Is band 4 even worth it?
What makes a Band 4 worth that much are they out in the field or plants in the heat dealing with chemical, shift work or they just sitting in a nice cushy office while grunts doing all the hard labor and they pushing more onto us???
i was a band 4 before i left HW 3 years back, was just below 160. i think 140 was the floor, could vary by sbg
This is a few years old, but I was an aero mgr before I got the F out, and at the last review cycle, out of ~12 B4s in the dept, only 3 (IIRC) were >140k, these were all Fellows with 30+ yrs. Most of the newer B4 were closer to 100k.
No!
As a reference, I was hired by HON as a band 3 employee and was paid $115k. Despite having extensive experience, I wasn’t able to negotiate my base salary/ band as I was laid-off from my previous company. After a short gig in HON, I moved to another company in a leadership role and am paid ~$200k. Overall it worked out elsewhere.
The future lies in India. Offshoring we will go ...
Depends I was making 180k in Band 4 as a software developer
"You mean every band 4, in every industry, in every discipline, at every location on the planet? Uh, No."
This.
I'll wager there is a minimum 2X difference between the lowest salary range in the lowest cost region/discipline and the highest cost region/discipline.
You mean every band 4, in every industry, in every discipline, at every location on the planet? Uh, No.
No. Band 3 and 4 has a small overlap.
