I work in AT&T customer loyalty and this job despite how well they pay is living he-l. If you are not sitting here fighting customers into keeping their expensive outdated TV service, then you are spending hours on the phone with a customer fixing a mistake another id--t employee made.
There is NO sense of accountability with this company. We got sales people messing up accounts and lying to customers to get a sale, adding duplicate accounts causing customers to be billed twice for the same service, adding cell phone lines for no reason, changing wireless plans for no reason and causing customers to lose TV discounts and internet discounts that they cannot get back. If I get paid a nickel each time a customer calls to waive valid activation fees that were promised by retail, I’d be set for retirement and I’m 31 years old. We have loyalty reps not disconnecting services when requested by customers and it screws over the next person who is unfortunate enough to take that call who gets a hit on performance and their commission check because they have to disconnect accounts. I’ve had accounts where the caller requested to cancel because the account holder passed away and the account wasn’t disconnected for 6 months and $320 bills were automatically deducted from his bill. The charges can’t be reversed and management won’t approve to credit the account. Yes I had to cancel that account, get a massive hit, and me walking away from the phones because I’m too pi---d off to take another call where a customer is screaming at me because I had to correct another lie the next buffoon said to her.
Don’t get me started on the time a customer got charged 4 seperate times for the NFL Sunday ticket, and twice per month for the full 6 month installment period. I even have the notes to prove it. He was supposed to get it free but these mo--ns added the ST without removing the current ST that he is already being billed causing the customer to be billed multiple times. He said that he had to call every month to get the bill fixed and even though he’s not billed anymore he said he’s going to cancel when his contract expires which would have been 32 days away. If he called back within 45 days to cancel, I would have taken a significant ding my numbers.
If I did the same cr-p these mo--ns did on a recorded call, I would get a discipline. This sh-t happens EVERY.FU----G.DAY. Billing errors caused by id--ts. Every day. AT&T is doing nothing about it and for the 3 years I worked for them they have done nothing to fix the errors they are facilitating their workers to make. I’m sick of getting screwed over because people can’t do their jobs. I can only send out so many SPFTs a day but it feels like nothing is coming out of it.
I can’t wait to one day quit and put them on blast on social media.
