You left one thing out, the union will side with management on your grievance usually. If you put enough facts, details and proof, ie: printed text messages to and from with GCAS entries you will win. The 2nd level will kick the 1st level under the bus for incompetence super quick. Then the union will rollover and you’ll get back pay eventually .
