The company losing the amazing leadership of Veronica Bloodworth speaks volumes to what we aren't seeing in the C-suite. She wasn't a yes-'man' and I'm sure that's the reason. We preach we need diversity and then let go one of the only females in our technical leadership.

Veronica controls 75% of Frontier Communications she is doing just fine haters and making millions more!...Oh and by the way AT&T pays Frontier to piggy back on their fiber Network because AT&T Fiber is trash!...Great Job Veronica You Are the best
The rumor going around was Scott Mair was closing in on her for being a bully and more important incompetent. She was fired! I personally sat in meetings with her and the decisions she made were insane. I have never worked for a person so incompetent.....period! If people challenged her on a bad decision she would make their life miserable. Total abuse of power.
Veronica was a complete sociopath. I have heard may refer to her as one. You don't walk away from stack loads of stock options I assume she was fired for her mistreatment of people or her blatant incompetence. This lady ruined a lot of peoples lives to fuel her own insecure ego. How do people like this stay in power as long as she did????
Veronica was the most malicious person I ever met. The things she did to the people who worked for her were inexcusable. As previous post suggest she was a bully if you didn't agree with every thing she said or suggested. Not only that I personally saw her try to overthrow two of her managers. How do people with this temperament get to these levels. Its proof being connected carries more weight than competence.
Veronica was a total disaster. When she left a room people would talk behind her back and laugh at her ability. The big question around ATT was how did she ever make it to the level she did? All the previous post about her being a bully were absolute correct.... The lady was truly a piece of work. Now that she is gone people are a lot happier and are able to perform at there highest levels. The only reason why she made it to the level she did was the influence of her uncle Ed. He was the person that pulled strings to get her the positions. Veronica I must say you will not be missed by many....

What these post suggest about Veronica being a bully and tyrant are 100 percent accurate. I have personally sat in meeting were she was abusive to the people that work for her. Most of these people were amazing at what they did and she would undermine everything they said and did. She was insecure in her position and that was the outlet of her behavior. Her boss was a good man and probably said enough is a enough. Like the previous post suggest she will not be in her new job long before they figure her out and send her packing. I know a lot of people are happy she is gone!
I’d challenge anyone posting negative comments to put their name and rationale behind their post. Feel free to give details of her “bullying and tyrant” behavior. You’ll find quickly it doesn’t exist and there’s no evidence of this behavior. Veronica managed $12B of AT&T’s $16B annual budget. That type authority won’t please everyone. Especially those who who post anonymously with no real information to share.
Veronica was a total bully and abused her power I’m assuming that is why she was let go. Her boss was a great person and put a stop to her poor leadership.I heard stories were she would just destroy the people that worked for her and god help you if you disagreed with her. I agree with most posts she was a tyrant and a bully. She also made some very bad calls as it pertained to business. It will take Frontier 12 months to figure out they hired the wrong person and another 12 to fire her. Mark my words she will bounce from company to company!

Apparently the swirling rumor mill is that Veronica was fired and it may have something to do with insider trading and perhaps the legal issues that AT&T finds itself in currently.

You must not be aware that Veronica Bloodworth started her career with "AT&T" at BellSouth in finance. Veronica Bloodworth has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Chemistry and English from University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration in Economics from Georgia State University. You rave about how bad finance leaders are and how good she is. You can't argue it both ways. The COBC applies to all. Her downfall was getting caught
The incompetent wretches that remain on the executive team cannot tolerate real leaders like Ms. Bloodworth. Stankey's arrogance is toxic and destructive. He surrounds himself with mediocrities that always say yes to him. We are witnessing the slow death of the company that invented the transistor being destroyed by an infection of financial managers that know nothing but finance. Leadership? What's that? Technology? What's that? Show these things to me in a spreadsheet cell and I will tell you their value. Otherwise they have no value.
The MBA student is taught to know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. Their erudition is on display now at AT&T and sadly many other American companies.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see VB at Dish. They're building a 5G network from the ground up and hiring across the board like crazy. They could use a leader like her.
Bloodworth and Bruening leaving sounds like something ominous is up as both "left to pursue outside opportunities". May be outsourcing functions and don't need them . . . . .

From my observations, when VP and above announcements go out that someone leaves on that exact day, they’re either fired or leaving to work for a competitor and they get all their access shut off immediately.
When an announcement comes out that a person is retiring at the end of the month, quarter, etc. it was either planned/by choice or a forced retirement from someone who has been at the company 15+ years and framing it up as a retirement lets them leave with dignity.
Even the announcements reek of the old school read between the lines corporate politics nonsense.
Most prefer Bloodworth over Knight, now we might be stuck with Knight again, sigh.
