If you have already been officially notified, then while on leave, the surplus clock is frozen. When you come back it resumes.
If you are already on leave when the surplus is called, then when you come back you will be notified your 1st day back and clock begins.
sometimes a cool manager will give you an unofficial heads up while you are on leave so you can prepare. But with new surplus rules being only 2 weeks its kind of not worth playing that game. However I have known several folks who go on leave to get that last expensive surgery et while you still have benefits.
Go on workmen’s comp. if you contracted it at work. See a lawyer.lol.
If you tested positive you should be in self-isolation already. Continuing to come to work is endangering your coworkers and any other members of the public you encounter.
in the fraud planet, T is king? , lol... I'd say GO for it!..detox
So you tested positive for covid and are now recovered? What you are asking sounds like fraud. If found out you might get fired and not surplussed.
Due to extraordinary circumstances you will be terminated. If a qualified employee who is on the elimination list takes your job you make get severance.
Sounds like your goal is try to finesse the system and get paid for doing nothing. Try and get covid why don’t you. Typical
What do you think this is final destination
"They won't dare surplus a sick employee"
They do it EVERY CYCLE.
Agreed - dumb question.
Of course you can. They won't dare surplus a sick employee.
Short answer: No
Long answer: Hahahahaha. Nice try, but no.
How did you hear this “news”? Hard to believe you found out you’re going to be laid off. You’re the only one in the company who found out in advance? Hard to believe.
You can run but you can’t hide the surplus.
Once you come back they layyou off
You will still be surplus when on medical leave. It doesn’t stop surplus.
